Campout at Cooper Lake State Park
Back to Photo Gallery
The March 2103 campout took place at Cooper Lake State Park. We welcomed some of our newest scouts to the troop on this campout. After a hike and lunch along the way, we spent some time with one of the Park Rangers, who taught us about animal tracks. Who knew that hog tracks and deer tracks look alike?! We then were able to make some plaster casts of some animal tracks to take home with us. We conduct a flag retirement ceremony around the campfire, and called it a day. It was great weather, but pretty cold at night... In fact, it dipped just below freezing both nights. Lucky for us, the bathrooms were heated!
